ABOUT THE SPEAKER:
Randy Boyd was appointed president of the University of Tennessee by the UT Board of Trustees March 27, 2020, following a sixteen-month period as interim president. As UT’s 26th president, Boyd serves as the chief executive officer of a statewide university system that includes the flagship campus in Knoxville, campuses in Chattanooga and Martin, the Health Science Center in Memphis, the Space Institute in Tullahoma, and statewide institutes of agriculture and public service.
Boyd is also the founder and chairman of Radio Systems Corp., a Knoxville-based business. They have more than 800 employees, offices in six countries and produce pet related products under the brand names PetSafe, Invisible Fence and SportDOG.
Through his philanthropy, Boyd also supports the Boyd Center for Business and Economic Research and the Anderson Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation’s Boyd Venture Challenge seed grant program for student entrepreneurs, both through the Haslam College of Business at UT Knoxville.

Podcasting for business is about engaging your audience, not just about growing a larger audience. In this presentation, Chris discusses the challenges with creating a podcast and the misconceptions of what makes podcasts successful.
Attendees will learn how to use podcasts a marketing tool, a sales tool, and a tool for becoming a thought leader and influencer in their industry.
ABOUT CHRIS:
Chris is a Knoxville, TN native and owner of the podcast production company, HumblePod. In addition to producing podcasts for internationally-recognized thought leaders, Chris is the co-host and producer of the award-winning Our Humble Beer Podcast. He also lectures at the University of Tennessee, where he leads a course on podcasting. He received his undergraduate degree in business at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga where he majored in Marketing & Entrepreneurship, and he later received his MBA from King University.
Chris currently serves his community the American Marketing Association in Knoxville, where he is currently the President-Elect. In his spare time, he enjoys hanging out with the local craft beer community, international travel, exploring the great outdoors, and his many creative pursuits.
