VP OF COMMUNICATIONS
CHRISTINE SMITH is the Digital Marketing Director for the Center for Transportation Research at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Within that position, she is responsible for the development, management, and implementation of all digital marketing, printed materials, and communication needs for the research center and various high-profile marketing accounts. She has an extensive marketing background with particular emphasis on graphic & web design and social media management. Christine holds a Master of Arts degree in Professional Communication and has spent the majority of her career in higher education. She has had several notable achievements including being selected as the recipient of the 2015 Innovative ETD Award by the NDLTD where she was honored at their international symposium held in New Delhi, India and most recently as AMA Knoxville’s 2018 Volunteer of the Year receiving the President’s Award at their 30th Annual Honors event. She resides in Friendsville with her husband Ethan.
